Carlisle 3.30

Carlisle 3.30 6 Kensington Star - 2 point win @ 4/1 + 9 Stormin Tom 1 point e/w @ 7/1 (consider a small reverse F/Cast too)

This may be the trickiest race of the day with a few who would prefer further than this, v a few 14 Furlong experts, some with good Course form and/or form right handed on stiff tracks; like Beverley and Pontefract. I don't think Davy's Dilemna at the head of the market is that well handicapped but really like the look of KENSINGTON STAR who has won over Course and Distance off a mark of 82 in this month last year; it has won on Going from soft to Good to Firm, stays 2 miles and back in Class 4 after forays in to Class 2 and 3, and not disgraced, so back in C4 off a mark of 82, looks very strong for the WIN bet.

There are plenty of dangers as both Mistress Quickly and Stone The Crows could be "improvers" lurking off nice marks and Dominating, could do just that IF getting an early lead and that is a horse also dropped in Class and Trip who may just be back in handicap mark "win range" having run very well in The Autumn of 2017. However; I will reluctantly pass over those 3 in favour of an each way bet on bottom weight STORMIN TOM; he is off a nice low weight; fine at this trip and 2 miles and tactically versatile, and one I feel more likely to stay on up the hill of the expected decent gallop. A small reverse forecast might not go amiss and if you want a Tricast dabble; look at Dominating.
