I am really compromised here in the respect that covers have been down at Doncaster and they have yet

to provide a Going Stick reading and describe Going as Good to Soft. That may be in one area where they have looked under

the covers. IF we had reliable data we would be looking at the 3.30 race but it is too risky not knowing Going as there and in the

1.55 we have a host of Good and Good to Soft ground horses, who may not want to run on "pudding ground" which may be

what they find under the covers down the back straight. So, a 1/2 point each way in the 1.55; I fear Powerful Symbol but not

much betting value, GIBBES BAY could be anything from PFN but needs to evidence it can jump well so the sporting 50%

stake bet is GOOD MAN VINNIE; his runner up run at Ludlow looks strong, less likely inconvenienced if it is soft than most

and still on a nice mark. If it is "Good Going" he could be swamped, but we'll have a small speculative punt.
