Fairyhouse 3.30 Novice Hurdle Series Final - 3 miles (Inner Track) 20 run - Yielding
A competitive affair on the Inner Course with a big field and some selective watering to keep the sting out of the ground.
It's likely to be run at a fair pace and a prominent position and accurate Hurdling will be important. Many are not totally proven at the trip but should get a good enough tow if they can go far enough off the bridle.
At the head of the market Folcano has a 3 mile P2P win, fell at the first at Cheltenham and also a Course winner at shorter. The price is about right for the Foster/Elliott Team but I think there are more interesting options from the Yard at nicer each way Odds. Jules Stowaway an ex-Champion Bumper horse has like many in that sphere yet to really transfer the form over to Hurdles and Capodonno looks the best Mullins hope upped significantly in trip. I'm happy to take all 3 on under these conditions today.
From the Elliott/Foster yard I like both DUNDOYNE and RAGNOR LODBROK. Dunboyne is an unexposed ex 3 mile P2P horse who runs off a decent mark based on runs so far and likely to appreciate the return to this trip and the better ground. The same applies to Rognor Lodbrok who clearly gets the trip or very close to it, is consistent and off a mark that is not a gimmie but looks well within its scope.
Of the remainder On Eagles Wings takes a step up in trip but has some P2P form that suggests this may eventually be it's best option and Jacksons Gold who had a nice win last time out upped 5lbs look live dangers and not to be under-estimated.
At very big odds I can't completely leave out PREMIUM PACKAGE for the De-Bromhead yard. A nice mark for this very unexposed 3 mile P2P recruit and it should outrun the advertised 40/1 or so by some margin and could nick an enhanced place.
TIP - DUNBOYNE - Tracker Ragnor Lodbrok + Premium Package
