---------------

A bit of a famine with poor Monday-Friday racing most of the month, this week though we have a feast!

May be not the brightest marketing to have Glorious Goodwood and The Galway Festival clashing, why not a week apart??; but some great races and action and TIPS/ANALYSIS every day this week.

Sean will focus on Ireland (Galway) and we will also have at least 2 races per day at Goodwood + lots of Trackers elsewhere.

GALWAY Day One takes centre stage today and over to Sean-:

Flat and National Hunt all week and one of each Code today-

5.55 (Handicap Hurdle) 2 miles and 130 yards and 20 run.

A tight and competitive race and an obvious favourite and the one to beat is Linger. If you want a "win saver" on him feel free to do so but there is loads of value in this field. CONVARA in form, has been running well over Jumps and on the Flat and looks the most solid each way option. There are a couple of very unexposed horses who could be "handicap blots", MONKEYLOU from the Elliott yard could get backed but is one we cannot ignore, but I rather fancy a Mullins horse, in this case from the Margaret Mullins yard; Dumhach Thra may also be a massive threat and I have added that to my Tracker list after today. A few others to watch for are the solid and consistent pair of Volatile Lady and Sticky Situation and one right out of form but with good Course form in Castlehume, who may suddenly return to form back here at nice odds. For me though the e/w picks will be CONVARA and MONKEYLOU.

7.40 (Flat) 2 miles 179 yards and 20 run

Another very competitive handicap and again a few to consider, LEGAL SPIN has to be included, powerhouse Yard drawn 7, very impressive return recently after 258 days off and  looks laid out for this race. Everything else I fancy in the race id drawn high, that can be a negative but Great Trango drawn 19 gets the assistance of JJ Codd and a real danger, Newcross is berthed next door in Stall 18 from the Tony Martin yard and a progressive in form horse and  Arctic Fire drawn in 15 is a solid each way proposition and very consistent. The other pick though is MR EVEREST who could have been laid out by his canny Trainer for this race and despite being drawn in stall 17 is the one of those drawn higher that I just fancy the most. Tips are MR EVEREST and LEGAL SPIN
