Goodwood 2.40

Goodwood 2.40 16 Medburn Dream @ 18/1 / 1 Suzis Connoisseur @ 14/1 (odds to 4th)

"I always try to visualise a race here and a low draw can be a big advantage to any horse
who can ping the stalls and get in to a nice rhythm. It is a notoriously hard track for hold up horses as for
much of the trip the gentle camber pulls them over to the far rail and you need luck in running. The likes
of Ice Age and Lightning Charlie were high on my list and both are feared but the former may struggle
to get the trip off a fast pace and the latter may struggle with a 4lbs penalty. The Haggas horse is a
worthy favourite but the price is too short for me on seasonal and Course debut. MEDBURN DREAM
won nicely at Windsor last time, a prominent runner usually with a lovely low draw, lets not forget he
has the stamina for a mile and won a Class 2 race like this last summer, the price of 18/1 therefore
looks to be very high for a proven horse who is fit and in form from a yard on fire. If he sets the
race up and it is run at a cracking gallop that certainly helps SUZIS CONOISSEUR; OK it will
need luck in running but drawn in the middle can be placed to attack and has good Course form in
this grade and the benefit of being fit from the AW another with fine chance at nice odds.
