The trip and draw are important here and it's a case of visualising the way the race may pan out.

 

I narrowed it down to 4 in the end and of those I think that Hamley is just a little too regressive for my liking, it has to be a big danger off this mark but I just want to see a bot more actual evidence before diving in. Won't be any surprise if it popped up though.

 

This might be too short a trip for Drakensberg, a winner at the Track and at the distance, I think better over 12 furlongs now, but if they went off too quickly, could be the one that can finish like the proverbial train in the closing stages. 

 

From stall 1 I can see ULTRA PRIDE being prominent throughout. Got the fractions wrong last time but wouldn't be the first to do that at that track and has some good placed Course form, a nice mark and every chance.

 

If one can come from just behind the pace at this trip and from a decent pitch it's MOHTARRIF, looks to have an ideal opportunity here of a placed run at least.

 

I'll split my stake and have a Tracker tip (1/2 point each way) on both looking for some net profit from the race.
