This is not a race of great quality or great depth and very few have actual form at the trip and in this kind of Going.

 

The top 3 in the market look most likely to dominate with THE REAPING RACE the one to be but at 2/1, anything but a crafty win saver, is not the kind of price that interests me at all. Not So Simple will be equally dangerous but of the threesome there may be a little each way value at around 5/1 in Cromwell's MARY OF DE SORROWS. With enhanced Odds to 4th I can't see it not placing with any luck in running, I think it has a 33% chance of winning,so an each way Banker for me.

 

Of the remainder, old favourite BYE BYE O BYE @ 33/1 will have more behind him I think than in front at the finish, simply because he gets the trip, handles the ground and the deeper he goes into the race the more he might fancy it. Well worth a bit of shrapnel.

 

There are then a pair who look most likely of any to nick that 4th place if the top 3 do prevail. GENDARME despite being an ex Flat horse who started at a mile was staying on well enough when falling 2 out over this kind of trip last time and with a clear round could nick a place. BINTHEREDONETHAT has winning 3 mile P2P form so has to be of some interest and along with Bye Bye O Bye look worth a small e/w flutter.
