Daily Update

There is racing today at Kempton and Ludlow over the Jumps, the meeting at Ayr was abandoned at an early stage due to waterlogging.

We managed to find the 1st at 12/1 and the third at 16/1 in the big race in Ireland yesterday, in hindsight; they should have been formal
tips but it is easy to be wise after the event and despite a few complaints about the staking suggestion, which I respect, when you have
to apologise for 12/1 winners, then we must be doing something right.

---

The Cards today are decent enough in quality, but too many 8-9 runner races for my liking and there does not seem to be any "great value";
Kempton tends to be dominated by the likes of Henderson and Moore and the only really decent race is the 3.05, I think the two market
leaders are vulnerable, but can't get any real enthusiasm for the consistent but ponderous Muthabir, so there may be some "loose change"
value in the potentially progressive LE DAUPHIN at 12/1 and if fit ROYALRAISE at 20/1; but "shrapnel" would be the limit of my stakes

and nothing in the race can be seriously considered as a "tip" and therefore nothing will be proofed as a tip.

At Ludlow; with the exception of the opening race with a decent field but nothing to seriously trouble the market leaders; there are
again moderate fields, the race at 2.45 did merit close examination and analysis and Number One London is a strong contender,
BUT; concerns about the very inexperienced jockey and the possibility of any rain, and again the feeling, you are looking for the
least likely not to lose, rather than the most likely to win, my shrapnel horse there "no more than that" is BRIGHT TOMORROW;

has a modicum of Irish form, might step up now, and Trainer in very good form, but again not a "tip" and won't be proofed.

We will therefore have a quiet day, a passing glance and a few bob on those highlighted and back with more tomorrow.
