Newmarket 1.55

PLACESPOTTER - Newmarket 1.50 1 Frontiersman - each way @ 5/1 (Paddy Power)

I am very keen on FRONTIERSMAN and think the 5/1 with PADDY POWER is an excellent
each way steal type of punt to nothing, you get your money back with a place and a nice
return for the win. The horse was very impressive over Course and Distance in September;
possibly a bit over the top for the season after that and in unsuitable ground. It has ideal
conditions today and has had a decent prep run in a small field when it looked like it
just needed the blow to tighten it up. I know from reading Stable Notes that they think

it could be a "Cup Horse" in time and will be disappointing if it does not win here.

I can see Big Country as a danger but just cannot see how it is so short a price;
OK two very impressive AW runs but its Turf form in Ireland prior to that is nothing

like what it would need to win this, let alone at such short odds.

The bigger danger could be the Stoute runner Mainstream, a likely improver owned
by Her Majesty the Queen, tempting fate but, it might just need the run and of the rest
Going Up and Banditry step up a little in Class and of the pair the latter could run
in to a place with a bold run at a nice price but it is FRONTIERSMAN for me.
