Newton Abbot 4.30 12 Georgina Joy @ 8/1 + 8 Presenting Berkely @ 12/1 - both 1/2 point each way (Sky enhance to 4th place)

Another race over an extended 3 miles, this time a Handicap Chase. The in form Paige Fuller rides the enigmatic Mr Satco and that is one to consider "backing in running" IF it can dominate it can take them a long way in to this race but I have stamina doubts so could be a decent "lay in running" after 1/2 mile or so if it leads but with company. Chill In The Wood is a danger but inconsistent and Distracted may need it a bit softer. I was down in the area on Thursday and Friday, lovely sunny warm days, made the mistake of coming North to the rain on Saturday and Sunday, when I am reliably informed was very sunny and warm in Devon.

That leads me to PRESENTING BERKELEY a very impressive winner here on penultimate run, then hated Cartmel but we can forgive any horse a poor one there and return off a mark just 5lbs higher than for the win. The Going should be firm enough and I think it should be closer to 8/1. It beat GEORGINA JOY some 13 lengths in that win and GJ gets just a 5 lbs pull but is very consistent around here; gets the trip well and if the aforementioned Lord Satco does take them out a yard too fast, I can see GJ as the one to benefit most for a local Trainer with a decent 10lbs Claimer up.
