Punchestown - Tuesday 30th April

SEAN - Punchestown

3.40 The annual BANK race starts the Card, Amateur Jockeys who go over the famous, some say infamous Banks in the centre of the Course. The market usually leads here and it is hard to look for a winner beyond Youcannotbeserious; Blue Templar and Enniskillen. However, the first comes off a long break, the second is not bomb proof and the third is a veteran now so the each way value and pair to follow in the Tracker are DIFFERENT SPOT from a Yard that specialises in this type of race, won a decent 3 miles Point 2 Point and won't be inconvenienced by rain and CARRIGNAGAPPLE who has collateral form with Different Spot and who won a decent little race at Cork and has form on Yielding Ground. A small e/w punt with some Bookies offering enhanced Odds will give us a bit of sporting fun in the opener with Like A Demon the only other one i seriously looked at.

4.55 A 2 mile Handicap Hurdle and some unexposed types,  interesting UK challenger is Nick Giffords horse Belargus who ran well at Ascot, I rather sense the Owner has dictated this trip over however and will pass over but rate it a live danger. LA SORELITA is a slow improver from the Willie Mullins Yard and ridden by Danny, RAYA TIME is from the De Bromhead stables and should be ideally suited to this Course and trip and won't be perturbed by the rain and  KONITHO has been well backed for the past 24 hours for Joseph O'Brien and JJ Slevin. That is wise money and a win saver at about 4/1 may be a wise call.

I will go 2 handed though with both RAYA TIME and LA SORELITA as both look very solid each way types and have scope to improve.

6.40 The 3 mile Chase and I want to take on Delta Work after some heavy overnight rain and possibly more to come, GETABIRD is a horse who can run well fresh, clearly put away for this type of challenge, won't mind the rain and should be ideally suited here and a price to give you an each way interest against the favourite, with no loss if it places and possibly a slither of profit.

Back with some more tips and thoughts tomorrow.
