Saturday 2nd November

Placespotter - Newmarket 1.30 - 1 mile Class 4 Handicap Soft 19 declared

CRITICAL TIME is clearly the one to beat here and has to be backed as a small win saver to cover the each way and Tracker bets.

The Going is soft, will place a focus on stamina and for the tips I can;t look beyond proven Course and Distance November form in similar conditions in 2018 when VILETTE and MADELINE BOND  finished 1st and 2nd. There are so many in here who will find 1 mile in soft a struggle that proven form is a massive asset. VILETTE has a very similar preparation to last year, very similar mark, almost identical stall and looks to be primed to run well and MADELINE BOND arrives 3lbs lower than in 2018 in the handicap despite nice recent form.

The Eastberby pair of BROTHER MCGONAGALL and STORM AHEAD are both well worth "Tracker bets" both fine in soft, ideal trip and possibly more stamina than most, off nice handicap marks and Easterby loves these Newmarket meetings and has good Course record in this Class/type of race

TIPS -: Villette + Madeline Bond TRACKER Storm Ahead + Brother McGonagall

TRACKER - I also looked at the 2.10 at Ascot and it is a potentially great race and a real puzzle, Diego Du Charmil; The Last Day and Speredek all have proven form fresh and all will sure pay their way this season so add to Trackers and follow all 3 closely whatever the outcome today, I can see The Last Day, Speredek and Diego Du Charmil finishing in that order and will do a Tricast Perm but if there is one for some e/w value and a Tracker bet it's CHAMPAGNE AT TARA who was runner up in this last year off exactly same number of days off and who is perfectly suited by soft/heavy Going. Would probably not beat the named 3 on any other day, but could just be the day to catch the horse with optimum chances.

TRACKER - Champagne at Tara.
