I narrowed this down to a pair of horses who should benefit from conditions who have disappointed for us when tipped in the past. SIZING CUSIMANO may well have been in too deep at Cheltenham last time, takes a big step up in trip here but has plenty of stamina in its pedigree. I will have it in a small unit reverse Forecast and it will be the main danger to the selection I think if staying.
QUICK PICK very much fits the profile of horse that did so well for us in the past few seasons in these long distance Handicap Hurdles, back from a poor Chase run but gained fitness in so doing, former 3 mile Point 2 Point winner on heavy and with form on soft who goes back to that kind of trip over Hurdles. Those are significant form angles for us and there is more to be enthused over. The horse twice won over 2 and a half miles on soft Going off marks of 119 and 122 last season in Class4; comes back down to that Class here and is locally trained by Jenny Candlish who is always a Trainer who you would call "streaky", worth following when in form, and a number of winners and well placed horses in the past 14 days is the icing on the cake.
