Wednesday 19th July

Placespotter - Sandown 7.05 10 A Sure Welcome @ 15/2 / 9 Beeceepee @ 16/1 - both each way

(Ladbrokes / Coral / SkyBet go odds to 4th and please use them if possible)

Placespotter - Uttoxeter 4.40 Sweeping Rock @ 3/1

We saw on Monday how well the John Spearing horses are running and that alone led me to a couple of the
picks, however; I've never been one for following any Trainer "blindly" so always like to study the form too;
my view is that the form is the cake, and the trainer form, when hot; is the icing that sits on top of the cake, and

today we have a couple of cherries, given the very positive looking jockey bookings.

A SURE WELCOME racked up a 4 timer on the All Weather, steadily improving and always winning you felt;
with a little bit in hand. After failing in the 5 timer, John freshened him up and a recent run on turf showed;
he can run up to this mark. The race tonight has a few progressive types (especially a Haggas runner) but
drawn in stall 1; with Tom Marquand up, and given its ability to battle, I expect a place at least (odds to 4th).
The horse has proven it can win right and left handed and looks very solid to me. I can't resist a small punt
too on Beeceepee; nice handicap mark, best runs are for tonights apprentice and the 16/1 just looks too

juicy to completely ignore.

At Uttoxeter another in form horse of John's is SWEEPING ROCK and it looks to have Stonecoldsoba
to beat as the rest all look vulnerable. The 3/1 is a decent win price option and I will be having a win
bet and also a small each way double with A Sure Welcome. I must as always add the caveat that I
have NO Inside Information at all about either Spearing horse, just an acknowledgement that I have
been to the yard, know how they work and can clearly see, as can anyone, that the horses are in rude health.
