York 5.35

YORK 5.35 19 Captain Jameson @ 16/1 + 12 Yes You @ 14/1 - both 1/2 point each way - all Bookies Odds to 4th as 20 runners

I fairly quickly narrowed the 20 down to 6 in anticipation of deteriorating Going conditions. I think The Armed Man and Soldiers Minute may just now be in the grip of the handicapper though both should be very much in contention. Tommy G is on a nice mark, may be in a great stall or an awful one, we won't know until they cross the line and that just puts me off him. Sheepscar Lad is better at 5 furlongs but should run a big race for a long way, IF there is a tailwind mentioned, I would be tempted to have a small bet before the off!

YES YOU is not on a great handicap mark and a bit exposed but conditions will be a great leveller and they look to be ideal for him and a draw in stall 6 gives him tactical scope, similarly in Stall 16 CAPTAIN JAMESON is on a very nice handicap mark, yard amongst the winners; has won on heavy and not over-raced this summer; compared to some here.
