Beverley Tuesday 14th May

BEVERLEY 3.20 A Class 5 Sprint over 5 Furlongs and one I really fancied (CRYSTAL DEAUVILLE) is now a non runner, that has caused a re-think but not over the tip you may think an "afterthought". At big odds I think EAST STREET REVIEW could return to form with a bang here, still only a 6 year old and was running in much higher Class just a year ago, has declined apparently, but i think more due to increased Handicap mark, more competitive and tougher races and also an unlucky horse with Draw and conditions a number of times. If any ability remains really should be hosing up here in a Class 5 off a mark of 73. Has had a couple of runs and should be cherry fit.

Of the remainder, Gamesome would be a big danger but I am put off a bit by the draw, more by it's ability to find ways of losing but a T/Cast Horse if ever there was one. At or near the head of the market is FOXTROT KNIGHT and that one ticks every box here and just needs to break better from Stall 5 than it did on last run to be the one to beat, and a nice win banker or each way saver. Tricast with the 3 horses named who run.

BEVERLEY 3.50. a race of 1 mile and a few yards and Class 4 - those who make seasonal debut with good form fresh have to be feared and are Tracked, the fact that Rousayan has moved stables just puts me off as new Trainer may have different plans and regime, that's in the Tracker with Mikmak and Detachment and all 3 are live dangers. I think PLACEBO EFFECT is the most likely winner, ran well last time over course and distance and i think can beat Kylie Rules with a clearer run this time and another one who has given best to Ruth Carr's hat-trick seeker is the Fahey trained and Hanaghan ridden INTERNATIONAL MAN - that one is usually very consistent off this mid 70's type of mark, ran poorly last time but that just makes me think it can return to form off a mark it has won off before.
