York 2.25 a Class 1 Sprint over 6 Furlongs and Draw and Course form are vital here. On extremes of Going, especially soft and heavy it can pay to be on the flanks drawn high or low but more often than not they run in an arrow shaped formation so a middle draw offers probably the best of any draw bias.
Early pace is vital and with Flying pursuit drawn in 21 close to the likes on INTISAAB there could be early pace on under the Stands Rail that will draw the field over towards that side. Initisab has excellent Course form, ran well back in the UK recently after a torrid time in the Emirates and looks a solid e/w and Tricast punt and reserve if either of the selections is a non runner.
The pair I most like are drawn in stalls 9 and 11 and from powerhouse Yorkshire yards, Fahey runs GREAT PROSPECTOR who ticks every box for me and if it runs its race and has luck in running hard to see if out of the first 4 or 5 home. The same applies to Tim Easterby's very game horse STAXTON who gets David Allen (who had other options) up in the saddle and nice course form, and another whose cv indicates got to go close here with luck in running.
