Friday 19th October

In the 2.45 at Redcar again on soft Going the lightly raced BIG SIGH is of interest based on its best 2 career runs having been on soft Going. It returned about 3 weeks ago and raced well for a long way before lack of condition told and looks an attractive each way price here. It won off a mark of 65 at Haydock in Heavy Going last September and the mark of 67 looks decent, 3 of the 4 market leaders are 3 year olds and this late season slog, may just find them out. The dangers would be Ice Galley and Bill Cody

In the 3.50 at Redcar; SIZE MATTERS has the assistance of Paul Hanaghan in the saddle; best runs have been on soft Going off marks in the mid 50's it returns to 7 furlongs and that stamina will be a big asset and they turn to a tongue tie, no doubt to assist the horse in the process. It looked a few points too high in the betting and a nice each way punt with several major Bookies odds to 4th place.

Not a tip or a mention but we did look at 5.50 at Haydock and in the Going both Arthur McBride and Angel Gabriel looked over-priced if you fancy a very small wager or crafty forecast at the end of the afternoon.

Robin did look long at the 2.55 at Wincanton but comments "hard to decide between the form of the summer jumpers and the returning winter brigade here, where fitness of some and fatigue of others has to be taken on trust, I did look at Aunty Ann and Sporting Boy but feel a returning winter specialist more likely at shorter odds, so no bet"
