these are a bit more speculative and in the Zetland at Redcar 4.10 I think SIR CHAUVELIN with the enhanced SkyBet odds and at 20/1 can give us a good run for our money. Jim Goldie is a master at this kind of horse in this kind of race picking up nice place money at big odds. The horse is good enough to do so optimum mark and trip no problem. I think the secret with these Goldie horses in these races is that they are sent out to "optimise their place chances" not necessarily running tactically to win but placed to run tactically to "place" picking off horses who have tried to win and faded late in the race. He is canny enough to realise that "Place money prize wise" in a race like this is a better pot than winning a lesser race and one strategy to watch and follow.

The closing race at Redcar at 5.20 is a moderate 1 mile and 6 furlong handicap; no enhanced odds in terms of places and a warm favourite at 15/8 in Sunrize. It may bolt up given connections but I don't think actual form correlates to price so I want to try to find some value. ADRAKHAN is a Course and Distance winner; has had 2 runs and has won off marks of 45 and 48 and runs off 47 here. The horse ran pretty much non stop every 3-4 weeks from April 2016 to November 2017, that is a long old time and the break may have been needed, after 2 runs back in a poor race, with winning form over CD and ideal race conditions, worth a small punt I think. Likewise BREAKWATER BAY whose last few runs have been very poor. However, David Allen returns and the yard is picking up a usual steady stream of winners. Won a Class 5 off 63 last year after which Tim Easterby commented it was a "lovely horse" who will need further and who usually needed a few runs to get right. I just think on that piece of form it looks like one that could "pop up" very soon and the step up in trip is most interesting.
