New Years Eve - 31st December 2018

WARWICK 2.00 - Warwick has a unique configuration of Fences down the back straight and the final 3 fences come very closely together and require a nimble and clever jumper. Course Form is therefore possibly more important here than at most venues and in MUCKLE ROE we have probably the one they all have to beat, from a Yard whose record in this race is excellent and in MOORLANDS GEORGE a well handicapped horse with winning course form, off a decent weight, and who now looks fully tuned up. The Scott Yard has delivered some nicely priced placed horses and a smattering of winners in recent weeks and may be one to follow today if you fancy a "fun each way Lucky 31 type bet"

UTTOXETER 3.15 There are 2 horses in here who make Handicap debut who have some decent Point 2 Point form that may have been "hidden under a bushel" a little to enable them to have to obligatory 3 runs to get a nice mark. The chances of SOME OPERATOR are may be a bit more obvious, from the Ian Williams Yard who have had a stellar 2018, it has a couple of promising runs under Rules over 2 1/2 and 3 miles and this would look like an eminently winnable Handicap debut. The fact that ARCTIC ROAD has been confined to three races over a wholly inadequate 2 miles should not hide some very decent P2P form over 3 miles and Oliver Greenall has booked the prolific Harry Skelton to ride and the step back up to a trip the horse is clearly proven at, is a bit of a "jump off the page moment" on the final day of 2018.
