PONTEFRACT 3.35 6 Dance Diva - 1/2 point each way @ 11/2 + Forecast

A decent race and the key factor here is usually the draw with a big historic bias in favour of those drawn low. The Fahey horse DANCE DIVA is drawn in stall 3, may actually find this an easier task than last time and has excellent and solid form in the context of the race. The old Fahey/Hanaghan partnership are always to be feared back in their old stomping grounds and it is hard to look past this horse being bang in contention, unless there is a dramatic improver.

Of the rest the favourite Foxtrot Lady is drawn 11 and might be a Tricast punt, but for the Forecast  (just a few quid reverse) the improver and the one with the ebst draw may be the Noseda Trained ZAIN HANA who could lead them all a merry dance round the rail. There is a bit of rain about up North today, but at the Course does not look any more than a light sprinkling to take any sting out.

SOUTHWELL 4.25 8 COISA BLANCO - 1/4 point each way @ 20/1 + Forecast

This is a lot more speculative but I think the race last time at Worcester was a lot better than pure form suggests as the horse "went out on its sword" a little giving vain chase to the inconsistent winner it re-opposes today, with several others from that race in contention. This is a tighter less galloping left hand Oval than Worcester, that should allow a little more energy conservation, and with SKYBET offering odds to 4th, I think the 20/1 looks good each way value.

For a Forecast we will have a punt with Robin De Broome who has so far failed to justify some fairly high expectations but who has shown glimmers in recent runs of finally getting the hang of things and this looks like a decent opportunity for it.

The 3.25 at Southwell is their best race but looks too tough to call with any degree of confidence but a pair of disappointing types (so far) in the NH Tracker meet in the 5.00. Both RAILROAD JUNKIE and BLAZON have a tendency to race prominently, an asset here; but can over-do it. There is of course the chance they will cut each others throats here BUT, the top 3 in the market don't inspire any real confidence and are no value, and if the tracker pair get a soft lead, could take some pegging back. I can't pick between them for a "single" bet, but at decent odds around 9-10/1 might make a cracking reverse forecast for a few quid staked.
