Tuesday 19th June

At Thirsk in the 2.45 I felt that both SIENNA SAYS and KIBAAR from strong Northern Yards were well handicapped and will be suited by conditions in a race where early speed may be a vital commodity. The form of both Yards and their ability to churn out winners made the double figure odds look a little over-generous, although Laughton will be the one to beat (may be a nice tricast perm to be had with Laugthon and the tip and mentions in this race).

At Thirsk in the 3.55 ROCKIES SPIRIT is not exactly on a good handicap mark but is now within range of a good mark. A horse that is consistent within its limits and just a thought that it is one that is due to "pop up" and a nice double figure each way price.

Finally, we will have a final bash with HITMAN in the 5.45 at Thirsk. It was desperately unlucky for us when runner up 2 runs ago, was poor last time and that sums the horse up. It will win again soon and whilst we "don't want to go over a cliff with it" neither do we want to miss it - so 8/1 looks value.

In the 5.00 at Ascot, I sat down to formulate tips and mentions, frankly it is a minefield of a race but I kept coming back to the same 4 horses. You may wish to have a very small win stake on each, I will have a quid each way on all 4 but also spend a tenner on some Forecast and Tricast Perms (remember a Tricast Unit stake can be as low as 10 provided the total stake is a minimum of £2) and my 4 in order of preference are 20 COEUR DE LION / 1 WHISKEY SOUR / 17 MERI DEVIE and 5 DUBAWI FIFTY and best enhanced odds seems to be with a number of leading Bookies going odds to 5th (these will be proofed as a Tricast perm bet and NOT as full 1/2 point mentions which they are NOT).
