Wednesday 16th May

York 2.55 3 Flying Pursuit @ 20/1 / 16 Private Matter @ 10/1 - Coral / PP / Sky odds to 5th

York 5.35 3 Michaels Mount @ 14/1 (Sky odds to 5th) - NON RUNNER

The 2.55 has been covered by THE PROFESSOR but Ian is keen on the each way chances of the selections above.
FLYING PURSUIT has an excellent record over Course and Distance and gets on great with Rachel Richardson; always hard to
rule out here and a draw in Stall 15 look ideal for it to sit close to the likely pace down the middle. Like all Tim Easterby runners
will have benefitted from a quiet seasonal debut, and is bang on a mark from which it was placed in 2 big similar Autumn Handicaps.
The only thing that stopped it being a tip from The Professor is a slight concern about the fast Going but for me it is not an excuse

and looks very solid material at nice odds to be in the first 4-5 home with betting to 5th place.

I toyed with a few others OUT DO won the Wokingham for me at big Odds at Royal Ascot but I've never been sure York is his bag;
Danzeeno will be a HUGE danger but always needs luck in running due to slow starts, if it breaks on terms BACK IN RUNNING
before half way as it usually finishes very fast, I think George Bowen could run well but my other mention is PRIVATE MATTER.
It has the look of a horse that Fahey has long plotted for a 4 year old campaign having blown a handicap mark at 2 years old that

plagued it all of its 3 year old season, if it runs well today, I can see it improving in to some serious 6 furlong handicaps at big meetings.

York 2.55 TRICAST PERM will be FINAL VENTURE / FLYING PURSUIT / TERENTUM STAR / PRIVATE MATTER with Danzeeno biggest danger.

In the 5.35 I think MICHAELS Mount for the in form Ian Williams yard could run a decent race as it is fit and looks ideally suited off

this mark; The Going should be fine as long as it does not firm up too much but the forecast looks cloudy and that should suffice.

York 5.35 TRICAST PERM WILL BE MUTADAFFEQ / OKOOL / MICHAELS MOUNT N/R/ REVEREND JACOBS. added at 9.45am REGAL MIRAGE

One final little pointer, I/ we (SP2A Racing Club)  used to own syndicate shares in SEXY SECRET (Yarmouth  3.55) and CAPTAIN SEDGWICK
(Yarmouth 4.55) and both gave us the joy of WINNING races in that period, here at Yarmouth and at Ffos Llas respectively, I think BOTH

will need the runs today though but will watch with great interest and have hopes BOTH can win later in the season.

I am in the process of negotiating a deal for another horse that we had a share in at that time to be leased to SP2A for the Summer so that
we have a 100% Lease Share and to re-start the SP2A Racing Club as a "free add on" to ALL SP2A Members. We are in the process of
registering Colours and Racing Club name with Wetherbys and whatever happens we will process with this in the coming months and
look for a Flat Turf/AW horse (and we have already identified and doing a deal on one) and also a Hurdler/Chaser type to give us some
fun over the Jumps too....a lot more on this once the i's are dotted and the t's are crossed.
