Snowed In won for SP2A advised at 14/1 on New Years Day, ran a great race and finished off well, BUT; that is a race

they target and as a result has a 7lbs penalty and never been a horse to run up a string of wins. Off marks in higher 90's all the

evidence is the horse will "tread handicap water" until back down around 90. It should make a bold bid and the favourite and McCain

horses will be strong opponents and feared but going the other way handicap wise is HARTSIDE. Finished 3rd behind Snowed In last

time after getting caught a bit flat footed off a tactical pace. Gets a nice weight pull and sis go off as favourite that day. The pace here

is likely to be more end to end and less tactical and I do feel that HARTSIDE needs that now over this minimum trip but could and

should be finishing off as well as anything and handicap mark wise, time for one to drop right for this wily and consistent veteran.
