Cheltenham 2.35

Cheltenham 2.35 Handicap Hurdle - Class 2 - 3 miles 13 run

I can leave the favourite Skandiburg here as not sure of the value and I will take it on the chin if it wins.

KILBRICKEN STORM needed its recent seasonal debut and indeed you get the feeling that the Yard has half an eye on the second half of the campaign with many of its better horses, some being wriggled down the handicap and some simply not yet being fully prepared for massive battles ahead. However, is back to Course and Distance winning mark of 143 here and I think at about 11/2 got to be an each way saver.

Goodbye Dancer gets a 10lbs wollop off the handicapper for a recent Course win but is still only really back to the kind of handicap mark it was running off before switching from Twiston-Davies to near neighbour Fergal O'Brien. Should run a bold race and definitely worth a Tricast interest and possible small bet. SHANTOU VILLAGE has recent form figures of PUPU (don't say it out loud), but in one of those unseats was bang in contention at the last in the Kerry National at Listowel, and I think therefore the big price is worth a small Tracker bet.

If they go a decent enough clip here then no doubt BEWARE THE BEAR will be finishing fast up the hill. I would be tempted to back in running if its out the back at half way at a half decent pace but a tip in any case as it has good Course form and will definitely come on for a decent season debut where it was eased in the closing stages.
