Chepstow 8.05

Chepstow 8.05 - 2 miles - Class 5 - 13 run

There are a few "in form types" here, some with penalties and others up in trip and most won't want too much rain.

You then have the Course and Distance or Course / Distance regulars, who rarely win but who can "pop up" in turn when all falls in to place and a few are very consistent within the lowly Grade and at this venue.

I narrowed my thoughts down to 5 horses on that basis.

Sea Sculpture comes from a top yard and looks like one who could and should pick up a race somewhere but nothing so far suggests 2 miles is the optimum trip.

Arty Campbell, Course and Distance winner but best form on Good Going, Blazon, best on AW and Good Going and Gavlar, good and consistent placed runs but also best on AW and Good Going are all big dangers if by 8.05pm the Going remains Good and I would not wish to pick in those conditions between the three.

However, if "soft" appears in the Going description, or even on Good, I do like the chances, more rain the better, of WITH PLEASURE, last 3 runs placed 2nd and twice 3rd over Course and Distance off 64 and handles softer and further. I think the market is wrong on this one so a 1 point each way bet.

TIP - WITH PLEASURE - 1 point each way

At The Curragh 4.30 , Bahlwan who won for us last Sunday runs again, a high draw last time and stall 1 today. Teddy Boy in that race and drawn high today is the obvious winner but not at 7/2. IF you fancy a small "loose change bet" have a look at SNOW PATCH @ 16/1 who Sean tipped last Sunday when drawn low and now gets a high draw and also CANFORD ART @ 12/1  also drawn high. Not tips or Trackers but a small interest may interest a few.
