Doncaster 3.55 Class 4 Handicap Hurdle - 3 miles 84 yards - Good to Soft - 14 run
There were 4 of the 14 who took my eye and the obvious one is Supreme Escape who is the one to beat and on whom I will have a calculated "win saver" bet to cover my other investments in the race.
The one I most like and the tip is DUBH DES CHAMPS who is a Course and Distance winner, get the aid of a visor today which should perk him up a little after an average campaign so far, Good in the Going description on this fast draining track is music to the ears and having won off 90 the mark is slowly coming back to that kind of level and off 93 here should be looking to place at the least.
I came close to having a bet on Lord Getaway who has some decent Hurdles form and who is back from Chasing, could give these plenty to think about and if wither the tip or the Tracker was a non runner would be worth a tracker sized punt. However, I definitely fancied ANOTHER FRONTIER a little bit more and that's another who has won over Course and Distance off a mark of 113 in 2018, runs off 10lbs lower today and although not at 2018 level has shown glimpses that it can win and be very competitive off a mark around 100....
TIP - DUBH DES CHAMPS / TRACKER - ANOTHER FRONTIER @ 20-25/1 (win saver - Supreme Escape + Tricast perm with Lord Getaway)
Huntingdon 2.35 Goodbye Dancer is definitely the one they all have to beat (win saver) but 2018 winner TAJ BADALANDABAD has had 2 runs since a long lay off, shaped encouragingly last time, may just still need this but worth a small investment and DEFINITELY one to follow on next 2-3 runs in similar Grade and Conditions!
Huntingdon 3.35 MR PALMTREE is a solid and consistent performer, ideally suited to sharp right handed tracks and runs off a nice mark and solid each way material with ground just about perfect for it.
TRACKERS - Hunt 2.35 TAJ BADLANDABAD @ 8/1 (many bookies odds to 4th) + Hunt 3.35 MR PALMTREE @ 7/1 - both 1/2 point each way
