I don't want to go in too deep here so just the one selection.

 

If we take the form of the last Meeting here then Johnson's Blue, Atomic Angel and Dillarchie have the proverbial cigarette paper between them and are hard to split. It wasn't the cleanest run race and they were all in a bit of a heap at the end so it's hard to know how solid a guide it is. IF I had to pick one of the three tonight it would just be Atomic Angel, but I'm comfortable taking those three on at the current market prices.

 

Shaws Bridge for Micky Hammond reverts to Hurdles and whilst that's logical its not a horse that blew us away in a Novice Hurdle career and may just be a confidence building run. TO THE LIMIT looks to be the pace angle here and could lead them a merry dance and a placed finish would be no surprise and if the selection was a non-runner would be my next best pick in the race, but it's another horse who may not be quite as effective over Hurdles. Tartan Cookie has a squeak on a few bits of form and caught the eye a bit here recently. Lord Condi would seem to be a Perth specialist and best runs elsewhere have been right handed on flatter tracks than this one which has a tough climb up to the finishing straight.

 

My selection though and one who jumped off the page (and also out of the Tracker) is BIRD ON THE WIRE. It comes from a prolific Yard who'll want to make a fast start in the new NH season and get winners on the board, the trip and Going look optimum and its got a win mark of 94 and has placed and run well off 99, an excellent Claimer takes 3 lbs off a mark of 99 and really i can't find and won't make any excuses if it doesn't place at the very least here.
