Huntingdon 4.20

HUNTINGDON 4.20 - Class 4 Handicap Chase 2 miles 7 1/2 furlongs

The top of the market looks about right but nothing there really jumps off the page at me so I will look for a bit of value.

SHADY GLEN for the McPherson yard has had a second wind op and 2 fairly decent 3rd place runs since the most recent one. The horses best form is right handed and this is the easiest of the right handed tracks it has performed well at in recent times. A nice handicap mark of 93 and a bit more than a hunch that with fitness and suitable conditions a deserved if rare win could be round the corner.

Robins Tracker - I will give one final chance to KING COOL @ 10/1 in the 4.55 at Huntingdon, like the yard capable of violent and sometimes inexplicable form swings but really is far better than last few runs indicate. The trip, Going, track all ideal and if and when this horse does fire will be a nice each way price. Last throw of the dice for me so a tracker not a tip!

SEAN - In the 2.25 at Punchestown, a 2 miles 6 furlongs Handicap Chase a few unexposed types but nothing that looks massively progressive. A couple of the more experienced horses who have no fitness concerns and in calmer waters than they have been in for a while are HASH BROWN @ 16/1 and SHANPALLAS @ 10/1. Hash Brown definitely has a solid each way chance in this company and just the concern that sometimes it doesn't find much at the business end puts me off a full tip whilst Shanpallas ran a much better race last time and still has the ability to pick up a small race like this despite being past its prime. Will be disappointing if one or the other does not place at worst.
