Huntingdon 4.40

Huntingdon 4.40 - Handicap Hurdle - Class 5 - 3 Miles 1 Furlong - Good to Soft - 17 run

Midnight Aurora is clearly the one they all have to beat, out again quickly and likely to be Evens at best, it's a case with the 17 runners of playing the percentage game and finding something to be in the places and good enough to take advantage if the favourite has an off day or meets any issues in running.

Heres Bingo is up in trip and therefore not great value, The Quiet Don from Lucy Wadhams yard and ridden by Bryony jumps off the page a bit after a wind operation but not wholly convinced of the form overall,Just A Deal is also up in trip and although this is as easy a 3 miles as there is, with the possible exception of Ludlow, they will go off like the clappers and possibly the race could fall apart late on.

There are three who might just need the run but could be dangers if fit enough and certainly ones to track in to mid Spring and early summer NH and they are Our Nest Egg who has bits of Course form, Lemon Shoulder who showed some promise when with Dan Skelton at this kind of trip and grade and Isla Di Milano who has some nice P2P form and one decent Ludlow run but who has been off for 468 days. Any of those could run a big race here and I'd wager all will be winning and placing in their next 3-4 runs so track accordingly.

The standout in terms of each way value who is race fit, gets the trip, enjoys the Going and who has no real excuses not to be very competitive amongst the 16 runners other than the favourite is GALACTIC POWER, runner up at Ludlow over 3 miles off a mark of 79, placed at Taunton off 83 over shorter and runs off 82 here. Should give us a very good run for our each way money.

If you want one at big Odds, have a look at Jefferson Davis, all best form on Good, Hurdles and Chase form, very appealing mark and could just revive and run a place once it realises it's not deep mud.

TRACKER - GALACTIC POWER - shrapnel bet on Jefferson Davis
