Newton Abbot 3.40

Newton Abbot 3.40 Class 4 - Handicap Hurdle - 2 miles 5 1/2 Furlongs - 13 run -  Going Good

I can find enough doubt with the 3 market leaders at rather short prices to want to look elsewhere.

It may be that any of High Wells; Galileo Silver and College Oak are well ahead of the handicapper, but I'm far from convinced that they are and prefer to find something more exposed and experienced with a solid profile.

The one less exposed and coming off a break that does interest me is Alan King's Arkyn, I'm a bit surprised though that the jump quite so high up in trip, pretty much 1/2 mile, so that just tempers enthusiasm.

I think that All Yours who i fit from the Flat and Can You Believe It who is a Course and Distance winner but 12 lbs above that winning mark, will be very significant dangers, but I kept coming back to PERCY STREET.

David Pipe has his string in decent nick, as we saw on Friday when his Airton just pipped our big priced tip on the line. PERCY STREET is flexible in terms of trip and this is certainly within range, off a nice mark, fit and running consistently, Going not a problem, and Tommy Scu will most likely hunt the horse round and get it in to contention going in to the final bend. It will be disappointing if we are not right in contention, unless those top 3 are much better handicapped than I think.

TIP - PERCY STREET.
