Worcester 1.30

Worcester 1.30 - Class 5 - Handicap Chase - 2 miles 7 furlongs - Going Good - 16 run

The top of the market is dominated by Dr Newlands seemingly well handicapped KING GOLAN who could almost walk to the track from the nearby Claines yard. At the price I really fear it but unless you fancy a small win saver one to take on.

I'm not convinced this is the right trip for Debden Bank even if it's race fit and can leave Cavaciana on form to date and of those near the top of the market, only Arthurs Reuben who is a solid performer at the level really concerns me.

There are 4 at bigger prices I took a real interest in.

At the very rag end of the market is LOUGH SALT who has been runner up in last 2 races at Class 5 level prior to recent season debut, may just still need this but the trip and going are fine and it is very well handicapped on that Class 5 form. Wouldn't be a surprise to see an improved run and could be one to follow in low grade Chases.

The other one I just discounted is THE MANUSCRIPT who seems out of form but who has popped up more than once around a win mark of 90, down to a mark of 93 and this Jonjo inmate ridden by Tom Scu could be back in the Winners Enclosure again soon off this kind of mark and another who could suddenly spark in to life. My reserve here and one for a Tricast Perm.

The pair I like better though are WATCHING BRIEF, placed several times at 3 miles 2 furlongs and has been better placed in both those races at this kind of distance which may just suit it. Solid form, runs off a nice mark and has had a nice P2P run, Trainers last 2 runners at nearby Stratford both won so no excuses for a bold show today.

The other one is MASTER SUNRISE, who has won the last two P2P races and back with Alastair Ralph. A Course and Distance winner off a mark of 90, clearly revitalised and running off a mark of 87 should certainly be on the promises is transferring P2P form back to Rules.
