A very competitive race and chances it'll be Good to Soft by the start time.

 

At the top of the market Faceur Du Maulene is upped in trip and Tango Echo Charlie is out very quickly after a win, upped 7lbs, very strong and if you want a win saver at short Odds, feel free but with enhanced places I want to take it on.

 

There are a few out of form who could easily revive and who are on interesting handicap marks if they do. Bellamys Grey won for us a while back at Exeter and is probably best there and may need the run. Theatre Mix is over Hurdles for the first time in 2 years and Trainer Jackie Du Plessis is always one to be fearful and wary of with a good strike rate. Gold Leader and Zulu Dawn are both ex Graeme McPherson inmates who moved to the red-hot Fergal/McPherson combo that just don't stop winning . Both horses are on very good marks but as a result of running inexplicably poorly. If either revive they could make a mockery of their marks.

 

Imperial Icon for Kim Bailey may still just need this second run off a 433 day absence and of more interest may be GOLD LEADER for David Jeffreys with Lily pinchin in the saddle. I see this one as a pace angle and it just missed out on selection but one to be very wary of too. Barely Famous is an ex Henderson horse who is falling down the handicap and a big run would not be a complete surprise.

 

The most solid options though are surely CASPERS COURT who we tipped here last time when narrowly beaten by the short priced favourite at a nice 14/1. It's around half that price tonight but should run very well again and it's hard to see it not placing with luck in running. STORM LORD from the Lavelle team is another who has been knocking on the door at just over 3 miles, I think the drop back slightly in trip will help especially if GOOD LEADER makes it a solid gallop and I think those pair are the strongest.

 

At a price I just think MISS MILANO is a better shrapnel bet than Good Leader, Nicky Richards comes a fair way and this is a nice type who is improving with each run and indications are that the step up in trip may find more improvement . It has tried 3 miles before but is now a more experienced and definitely stronger horse.
