York 5.20

ROBIN TAYLOR - York 5.20 - Class 2 - 1 mile - 17 run

A big field York handicap with 17 runners and I narrowed them down to 5 at the final stage.

Fox Premier and Brian Epstein head the market, a huge dangers drawn 1 and 2 and from Balding and Hannon yards. very hard to dismiss but the price doesn't excite me but I will play them in a Tricast Perm with my selection and tracker horses.

Muraad is a front runner drawn in 6 who could give those drawn low a lovely lead down the straight so I want to be on Course and Distance specialist FIRMANENT who looks better each way value.

O'Meara will be eyeing the "best York Trainer prize" and this one ticks every box, Course form, handicap mark, draw, Going and fitness. I think you can ignore the Royal Ascot run from a lousy draw and eased once chance was clearly gone.

Further down the market stable mate SO BELOVED drawn 10, also has plenty of form over Course and Distance and in these conditions and could be a very lively outsider to enhanced places.

TIP - FIRMANENT / TRACKER - So Beloved (Tricast Perm - Brian Epstein and Fox Premier).
