Carlisle 2.30

Carlisle 2.30 9 Beggars Cross @ 6/1 / 14 Bindon Mill @ 12/1

(1/2 point each way each horse + Lad/Cor/PP/Sky odds to 4th place)

A fascinating race that will be one to follow all season. A trip of 3 miles and 2 furlongs on "soft going"
that on an anticipated bright and sunny day could quickly become sticky "dead ground". I think one of those races where
race fitness could be a big advantage and although many having seasonal debut will win plenty this season, may be a
day when some won't be fully exerted with that in mind. I think that the likes of Waldorf Salad, Blameitonmyroots; Russe Blanc;
Abracadabra Sivola; Cadeau George all come in to that category, all could win this on form and mark today but on balance;

I have enough doubts to think all may just need the run, my main danger in all of those is Abracadabra Sivola..

I narrowed the actual tips down to 4-5 on a shorter list; despite the great stable form and the visual thought that Templeross
may just take off and get in to a rhythm and make all, not fully sure about its stamina in a race this deep; and similar applies
to Chef D'Oeuvre; whose tendency  to clout a fence also cause me concern, my fear is they could win from the front; but I fancy
a couple who are race fit just a bit more today. BEGGARS CROSS ran and won well at Warwick recently; looks the type to
really progress this season and 6lbs rise is fair, a view watching that race there is more to come and I think a solid each
way yardstick with odds to 4th. BINDON MILL has been in my tracker all year; I watched closely its run at Exeter recently;
like a lot of Dartnell's it needed the run, he is a proper old fashioned Chase trainer, the horse will improve; clearly loves
tough uphill right handed tracks and in my opinion if he improves marginally for that run, a strong place chance at least.
