Good to Soft is about as soft as it usually gets on this very well draining track but with a steady afternoon rain forecast it's going to be as soft here as it probably can be.

 

If we take out the short priced favourite SWAFHAM BULBECK who has very little form anyway in the ground I narrowed it down to 2 likely ones and one at a bigger price to possibly have a dabble with or as a Tricast Perm.

 

EURO IMPLOSION won 3 times on the spin in 2019 off marks of 62, 68 and 72 in Class 6, 5 and 4 respectively and since has failed to cope initially with marks well above 70 and as the mark has clattered down the 60's ofter in Class 4 or 5 races. Every horse though has a level and with Course and Distance form, form in Good to Soft and Soft and having had a warm up run, I can't see why it can't place at least off a mark of 59 here and arrest the apparent decline.

 

At bigger Odds is THREE CASTLES a Course winner, stamina enough to win over 2 miles off a mark of 62, but has also won at 10 furlongs in soft off a similar mark around 60 and running here off a mark of 62 also race fit looks to have a good each way chance.

 

At long odds I would not rule out a better run either for Zabeel Star for whom trip and ground appear ideal.
