(whoever came up with these stupid race times needs gelding!!!!!!)
An interesting and competitive Class 5 Handicap Chase and I narrowed my choice down to 4 of the 12 runner field.
I think Arthurs Reuben will be a big danger; my main niggle though is the Heavy Going as it's best form is on something a fair bit firmer. IF the Going turned out to be inaccurate and it was anything remotely Good to Soft I would have a late small bet so if you are watching action at Uttoxter on TV keep an eye on that.
Echo Watt is another who will be a bog danger, as the market shows, ran well on Chase debut but that was far better than any real Hurdles form and have to be convinced as to how solid a bit of form that is.
My idea of a good each way tip is BIG MEADOW despite top weight. Drops in to Class 5 here after some solid runs, is a Course and Distance winner on this quirky track and runs off a very nice mark with ability to handle Going a lot stronger on form book than most of its rivals.
I also like one at longer odds so will have a Tracker bet on HOLLOW PARK who has had 2 runs so should now be fully fit, probably needed both and most recent was full of promise. The trip is fine and form on yielding as a P2P horse and a place on heavy indicate the Going should be no excuse here.
TIP - BIG MEADOW - 1 point each way / TRACKER - 12 Hollow Park @ 16/1 - 1/2 point each way (possible tricast perm with Arthurs Reuben/Echo Watt)
