I think this is the more interesting of the 2 Divisions of this race and there may be some relative e/w value to be found.

 

I think the market leaders are opposable, Wetanwindy is upped a furlong and a half and 6lbs for a workmanlike win here last week but at the price today offers little value. Roger Rarebit may not be quite at home on this drying ground and Skeltons handicap debutant Night In Manhattan hasn't really set any pulses racing as yet.

 

At bigger odds the most interesting are Catchin Time who won here around a year ago off today's mark of 83 at 125/1. It went out hard and stayed there that day and on drying ground I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't adopt similar tactics. Caspers Court is in the Tracker, one of a few from the Kayley Woolacott yard who have generally paid there way for us so far this season. It's more exposed than some in the race but has won at 2 miles at Exeter on Good to Firm, runner up at Ludlow (a similar tight right handed track like this) off 107 on Good to Soft and should definitely be more competitive on this drying ground off a mark of 94.

 

The pair i most like though are MEGAUDAIS SPEED who is slowly coming to hand with 5th , 4th and 3rd place finishes on its last 3 runs, I can't see any reason why it cant go very close here stepped back up to what may be its best trip, especially if Catchin Time makes the running and plays catch me if you can.

 

The other one I really like is LAZY SUNDAY who has been a runner up at 3 miles off a mark of 95 and 4th off 92 at this trip, I think the step back to this trip off the expected fast pace will also suit this one, again off a mark of 95.

 

Sometimes "race visualisation" is the key so hopefully we've identified the pace angle and the race will set up nicely for us.

 

I'll have a TIP on Megaudis Speed , a Tracker on Lazy Sunday and some shrapnel on Caspers Court and play a small Tricast Perm on those three and throw in Catchin Time.
