Sunday 24th March

We'll do a review of Doncaster racing from yesterday tomorrow morning , together with a review of the tip race from today.

We had a good long look at the Doncaster Card, dominated by Sprint type races and with tacky deep ground we just felt it was too early in the season and too many imponderables to get involved. The Irish Flat meeting at Naas too is being held in excessively deep ground, Sprints have been abandoned, and a glut of 7 furlong races doesn't really inspire confidence or entice us in.

The Irish jumps card at Limerick is pretty poor too, so we have just the one tip race at Ascot over the Jumps on Good ground where the Novice Handicap Hurdle throws up a competitive field and a few interesting ones at nice e/w prices.

I've 99% finished the Cheltenham part 4 of 4 review but just waiting on all my figures and calculations to be checked by Jon, which he is doing today, so they will also be in the mail tomorrow and on the Cheltenham 2024 page on the website (no login required) which shows parts 1-3 already issued.
