There is some decent Flat action today, very southern centric it seems with Goodwood and Lingfield racing this afternoon and no doubt lined up to ensure jockey's can get to Sandown for an Evening meeting that breaks new ground with ITV4 televising live. ITV have been an absolute breath of fresh air to terrestrial TV Racing; getting rid of the geeks and anoraks on the Presenting Team; whilst bringing in knowledge backed by a personality and some great new innovations. There is also Flat Racing at Catterick; AW at Chelmsford and Irish Racing too.
There is some rain about, especially in the South, how much and what impact it has today is anyone's guess, but it won't do any harm with a decent weekend of racing ahead and probably most Courses in need of some natural irrigation. We have allowed for the caveat of a "late rain factor" couple of Mentions in the final race at Sandown and full explanation of tactics is in the notes.
We have tips from Michael Shuker at Goodwood and from The Advisor and The Professor at Sandown Park. There are a couple of Mentions at Catterick and Sandown Park.
We have been aware for a while that the RESULTS data since we switched the website to the current version has not been up to par. We have undertaken a massive database reorganisation, in some cases going back to 2010. The will be a dedicated RESULTS page very shortly. In the meantime if you click on DAILY TIPSTERS on the website you will see a drop down of each current Tipster. If as an example you click on PLACESPOTTER the usual "Recent Blog Entries" remain as do the current "last 20 tips". You can now though click on 2018 for Calendar year tips; Historical Data for all tips since each Tipster commenced with SP2A and if you click on Courses, you will see data on the 10 most and least profitable Courses for each Tipster. The information for each section also includes Total Returns for the relevant period, average return per tip and the highest return of any tip. In coming days we will add Strike Rate / ROI and Points for each segment for each Tipster. This is still a "work in progress" but when finished should not only rectify some past issues; but put us well ahead of the field.
