Wincanton 2.10

Wincanton 2.10 2 Barney From Tyree - 1/2 point each way @ 7/1

(see notes re No 4 Breaking Ground)

BREAKING GROUND won for us just under 3 weeks back; advised at 33/1 it won at 25/1 and although it had the run of the race there and
is upped 7lbs, there must still be some value, a few bookies go 3/1; so the advice if you want a "win saver" would be to take 3/1 to cover the
each way TIP. The only niggle with BG is that it can suffer from ulcers, we know the medication worked last time but I think you have to be wary

in the long term with any horse who can suffer from this debilitating complaint, which I would imagine is the equine equivalent of IBS in humans.

Looking elsewhere for value, it is hard to see why Chasing Headlights is 9/2 based purely on form; 3 mile form P2P is poor, rules form at 2 miles
6 furlong is poor, moderate over shorter and nothing really in pudding soft/heavy Going. Karl Marx can "pop up" but it's best runs on heavy have
been over shorter, it is likely to be involved and a Tricast banker I would suggest. Russian Spy would be a very appropriate winner; especially if
beating Karl Mark, (sorry); but on the balance of its form so far; and with the yard not firing; hard to justify.  Johns Luck takes a drop in Class and

Trip and should be a lively danger but with the likes of Ring Minella; and Upham Running does not stand out to be back but big runs would not surprise.

The one I really like at an each way price who should place at least on known form is BARNEY FROM TYREE - wears cheek pieces for the first
time, ran well as far as this trip at Exeter last March in a Class 4 off a mark of 104; ran runner up at Lingfield in January last year in heavy Going
off a mark of 102 in a Class 5 (same as today) and off a mark here of 91 with a 7lbs Claimer bring weight down further looks a solid option.
It is moderate so 1/2 point win (if you want the saver on BREAKING GROUND) and 1/2 point each way on BARNEY from Tyree.
