This is always a great spectacle and many a fool has written Pete The Feat off too many times including me, but the 

heavy Going is a massive factor here and I think negates against more than half the field; especially Double Ross; Third Intention;

Theatrical Star and Loose Chips; all of whom would be strong fancies if Good to Soft. I narrowed down to 4 and just leave out

Cloudy Too (form) and Benbens (a great winner for SP2A last time but I think the trip a bit too short today although a danger if

getting in to that same kind of rhythm). GAS LINE BOY ticks every box for me 4th in this last year; nice mark; Going holds no fears;

this is a definite prep on the way back to Aintree and the yard will have him spot on. PERFECT CANDIDATE would be a hugely

popular winner, if this was Cheltenham he'd be 4/1; but he has enough form right handed to be fine here and a nice price and

could cap a great day for the yard as I have a strong fancy for Chase The Spud to complete a historic double over at Chepstow.
