Newbury 3.50

THE ADVISOR - Newbury 3.50 Handicap - Class 5 - 1 mile 4 furlongs - Good to Soft = 15 run

They have had some rain here so we have to take Going on trust and its a Course where they are usually pretty accurate.

A lot of AW form to work out and some unexposed and possibly nice types who can work well above Class 5 eventually.

Way Of Life and Moel Arthur are both so far far better on AW than Turf and may not enjoy the softening of the Going. Both Swiss Mistress and Oriental Art may just need this on seasonal debut but both are worth following and tracking. Saigon makes its turf debut and being out of Frankel catches the eye and looks the one with most scope.

Rumi is another on turf debut who has shown glimmers of form and may be worth following longer term and Francisco Bay is the one at longer prices that may be worth a £2 exchange place bet for those who like to play that strategy.

I narrowed my shortlist down to 4 and of those a pair stand out for me. LIBERATED LAD has a falling mark and is race fit, the trip is fine, they go for headgear which has worked before and it will be frustrating if not getting some place money at least. TRALLEE HILLS had a 3 timer last year going from a mark of 67 to 74, its had a run gets further than this and off a mark of 77 looks a very solid each way price with that run under its belt.

I can't totally discount ZIKANY or GUSTAV HOLST in that order, of the pair I'd just favour ZIKANY for Amanda Perrett and Jim Crowley, its had a run and this ex Sir michael Stoute horse looks a good acquisition and has shown enough promise to suggest this may be a nice mark. GH will be reserve; should we have a non runner.

TIP - Liberated Lad / Tracker - Tralee Hills / shrapnel - Zikany
