York 3.35

York 3.35 - A Class 2 Handicap over a mile and I will seek some solid Course form and horses more than capable and proven in this type of race who are race fit and on decent Handicap marks. Both have a touch of "their turn is due and deserved" about them. Mark Johnson's LOVE DREAMS was runner up in this race last year, form tailed off after mid summer, but a lot of horses got jarred up and exhausted in intense heat of that period and this is a horse who usually performs best in first pasrt of the Flat season. Of the rest Waarif is on a very nice mark but gets the worst draw in Stall 17 and may use up too much too soon to get over from that or get held up in traffic, so that's a Tracker and Tricast horse today for me. I think FIRMANENT is worth a long look, mark is down to a very nice level, has not won in a few years but always in these competitive races and best runs are reserved for York, there are younger legs but that Course form and Handicap mark are compelling and has had a nice warm up run.
