ROBIN TAYLOR - York 5.20 - Class 2 - 1 mile - 17 run A big field York handicap with 17 runners and I narrowed them down to 5 at the final stage. Fox Premier and Brian Epstein head the market, a huge dangers drawn 1 and 2 and from Balding and Hannon yards. very hard to dismiss but the price doesn't excite me but I will play them in a Trica...Read More
PLACESPOTTER - York 12.55 Class 3 , 12 run , 1 mile and 4 furlongs Fox Vardy is clearly the one to beat but at very short odds for a race of this type. Gabriel The One has the right form credentials but to say it's a Chester specialist is putting it mildly and may be one they have lined up for something back there. Sandret is wholly unexp...Read More
THE ADVISOR - NEWMARKET 12.45 Handicap - Class 2 - 6 Furlongs - 12 run NAHAAR is clear favourite and understandably so and one for a win saver if you want one, however I would rather be on WOVEN here and he is I think a solid each way tip. WOVEN finished 1 + 1/2 lengths behind Nahaar recent at Royal Ascot and gave the Haggas horse 2l...Read More
PONTEFRACT - 12.45 Class 5 - 1 mile 2 furlongs (13 run) Going - Good Two weeks ago we tipped MICHELE STROGOFF who ran an enhanced place 4th in a race at Beverley. In that race we flagged up AIYA who ran a disappointing race for Tim Easterby. AIYA runs here and is very short in the market compared with Michele Strogoff, no doubt due to booking ...Read More
On to today and tips and Analysis in 2 big field races at Haydock and Doncaster from ROBIN-;HAYDOCK 1.30 - Class 4 - 1 mile and 6 furlongs - Going Soft (sunny and dry after early rain) I'd been interested in Gabriel The One but that one is a non-runner. Seinesational has proven stamina and is a Distance winner but most of it's best f...Read More
There is some cracking action today, especially at Newmarket (July Course) and at York (always our No 1 favourite Race Track in the UK). There is steady rain forecast for Newmarket, heavier early rain but drying up at York. Both report "Good" Going, both drain well, so we are looking at form on genuinely Good Ground with a bit of cut, possibly...Read More
Regal Mirage ran well enough for a 25/1 poke yesterday finishing just outside the places to believe that it's a horse that's returning to form off a mark it can do some damage from and certainly one to Track onwards. As anticipated the very consistent Michele Strogoff nicked a bit of (extended) place money to those Bookies who paid odds to 4th plac...Read More
A nice win for Mister Universum at Uttoxeter yesterday, shame we didn't formally tip it, hindsight is a great thing! Explain too ran a much better race and could be one that's coming to hand off a ridiculously low Handicap mark and definitely one for the notebooks. We'll have a bet at Pontefract today in a race that has thrown up another ...Read More
A frustrating day yesterday with 2 unplaced horses at Haydock and the sight of Turntable and Bollihope (in particular as both warranted an explanation in the analysis) winning and placing at Doncaster; but the tip also finishing unplaced. The NH season kicks in with a good Card at Uttoxeter, most will fancy something in the big Chase at ...Read More
A decent enough run from Daily Tip TINADALI at Epsom yesterday and an excellent runner up effort from COUNT OTTO for the Elite Service and David, with his suggested soft ground horse Alemaratalyoum a good third. ------------- As for The Derby, I really don't know what to say. The way I read it -: An outstanding and enterprising...Read More
