Leopardstown 4.15 - 1 mile 2 furlongs - Handicap - 20 run - Good to Yielding (probably closer to Yielding) A competitive race and not one to dive in on so we'll go Tracker stakes and if you wanted to go a little lower I'd not put you off. I can by-pass the top 3 in the market in terms of a financial investment. They are where they should ...Read More
Haydock 1.25 - Handicap Hurdle - Class 2 - 3 miles 58 yards - Good to Soft (heavy rain due) - 17 runThe weather can't be ignored here either and whilst they will start on relatively fresh ground it is likely to be soft or heavier by the Off.Not many in the field have proven heavy ground form and a few may well be pulled out on the basis they are re...Read More
Chester 3.45 - Class 3 - Handicap - 1 mile 2 furlongs - Good to Soft - 14 run There are a few in here with very solid Course and Distance form and the only niggle is their high draw. Over this trip however I think they have time and space to sort themselves out a bit more and scope to have tactical options whether they ping the stalls or...Read More
Huntingdon 1.55 - Mares Handicap Hurdle - Class 5 - 3 Mile 1 furlong - Good - 17 run A very competitive Mares Handicap Hurdle but not too many prove at the trip so a few unexposed types may lurk as dangers. Liffeydale Dreamer off top weight nicked a race over 2 mile 6 furlongs at Cartmel off the dront off a mark of 108, well below th...Read More
Chester 4.45 - CLASS 4 - Handicap - 7 furlongs - 14 run - Good to Soft As always the Draw is the most widely discussed topic all Meeting here. If you make the start off a Low Draw there is a clear advantage, however, the cutaway at the furlong pole allows a cleaver Course specialist rider the option of cutting up the far rail or try...Read More
A decent return overall yesterday. David hit the pay-dirt and well deserved after so many big priced runners up in recent efforts in the big Saturday Races, with River Nymph finishing strongly to win at 11/1 SP have been advised at 12/1. The bold front running grey horse Zip, advised when 25/1 and well backed in to 16/1 ran a cracker, jus...Read More
A very wet day across the UK and parts of Ireland. There are 9 Meetings today, of which 7 are in the UK and that equates to around 60 races and on such days it can take an hour just to decide what races to attack. There is almost certainly going to be a huge amount of non runners, so best I think we focus on the big Betting heat - The Victoria...Read More
A nice win on the nod for Barishnikov at Chester yesterday, returned an SP of 5/1 but widely available at 15/2 when advised. A runner up and 5th (paid by pretty much every bookie with 16 of the 17 declared running, at Huntingdon with Ask The Lady advised at 5/1 and Missthecuddles advised at 7/1. A few points net profit on the day. There is som...Read More
Those that took the enhanced 5th place offer with Sky yesterday, maybe better to say, those that could take the 5th placed offer with Sky, so as not to upset anyone will have had a small each way return off Praxeology. The race was won at 25/1 by Broken Spear who we had analysed as a danger from a low draw and so it turned out, although n...Read More
A standstill day yesterday; a bit of net profit if you backed Christmas in USA at the advised 12/1 who finished 5th in a 17 runner field so every bookie should have honoured 5th place Odds who quoted it, and if you were on Findusatgorcombe who faded after a bold and promising run came to a shuddering halt with a bad blunder entering the last c...Read More
