Clonmel 4.35 Handicap Chase - 2 miles 7 furlongs - 14 run - heavy At the top of the market Marshalled is around 2/1, based on promising run last time but probably overbet on basis on what's come out of that race since, I'll take it on. Goulane Jessie is in form but not 100% convinced over this trip and the price is no better than OK....

ROBIN - Taunton 4.12 - Handicap Hurdle - Class 4 - 3 miles - 14 run - Good to Soft A competitive Handicap Hurdle where there may be some each way value on what looks like an otherwise trappy Card where the market leaders should dominate. At the head of this market we have Black Centaur a 7 race maiden, Hot Ryan who has not set foot on a r...

Wincanton 3.10 - Handicap Hurdle - Class 4 - 2miles 5 and 1/2 furlongs - Good to Soft - 17 run A competitive race although a number look to have a lot to prove in terms of actual form at the bottom end of the betting market. If there is a springer at bigger odds the most likely looks to be Winter Spice who ran well enough in a few good gr...

SEAN / PLACESPOTTER - Fairyhouse 4.35 Handicap Hurdle - 2 miles 7 furlongs - 14 run A fairly low Grade but nonetheless competitive race. I've got stamina concerns about the likely favourite Sergeant Lightfoot who is worthy in terms of form at shorter but vulnerable to a genuine stayer off a decent pace on this galloping track. I thin...

ROBIN - Eider Chase - Newcastle 3.15 - 4 miles 1 1/2 furlongs - Soft > Good to Soft (dry) 12 run The key here in the 12 runner field will be the drying ground. It's hard to see or find anything at a big price that could thrive if the Going was bottomless. The conundrum is always the pace of a race like this on better and  drying G...

A decent enough run for some each way profit from MON LINO yesterday, if you had a bit of shrapnel at enhanced place Odds on Swordsman at 28/1 you will have picked up an extra few bob and Misty Hollow finished 5th, so decent analysis from Sean. The Elliott storm continues to brew and rumble on, many of his Cheltenham horses moved to other yard...

A disappointing day yesterday after a quiet week in terms of quantity and quality of Racing on Going that is firming up all of the time and we are definitely in that period now that is the countdown to Cheltenham in a few weeks. Lockdown and Covid 19 means it has crept up on us a bit more this year than in recent years, no bad thing when ...

We will focus today on the NH Meetings at Exeter and Warwick. A few dry days, some spring sunshine and quickly drying ground, how things can change so quickly. It may be an interesting period as the ground dries out and we see some horses who have been kept off the rain soaked, or frost affected heavy Going, bring a new form perspective and an...

We couldn't deliver a day with a double priced winner after 3 successful days at doing so yesterday. With non-runners in the final race at Taunton the 5th place offers soon vanished, but most bookies paid for the 4th place of Arctic Footprint at 8/1 to reduce losses to a couple of points so no great harm was done. I'm not sure what caused the price...
