Windsor 6.45 Handicap Final - Class 2 - 6 Furlongs - Good to Soft - 16 run A competitive Sprint Series Final although we'll have to wait and see how many of those engaged at the weekend turn up here. It looks like a "plot race" to me, where horses qualify and then hide true form. It's generally better to be drawn high unless it gets...Read More
Goodwood 1.50 - Handicap - Class 2 - 2 miles 4 + 1/2 Furlongs - 20 run - Good to Soft A typically competitive long distance race with last years winner Just Hubert again opposing a few it beat into places in the shape of ROCHESTER HOUSE and Smart Champion. Just Hubert arrives out of form like he did in 2020, Smart Champion may not have wa...Read More
GALWAY 7.45 Handicap Hurdle - 3 miles - 20 run - Going Good A competitive race but may be not quite as deep as the 20 runner field (plus 3 reserves) suggest. At the head of the market Blackstar Rocco looks a very progressive horse on the last few runs but at a skinny price I want to see if I can beat it. It Could Be You could be a bi...Read More
Galway Plate 6.15 - 2 miles 6 and 1/2 furlongs - 22 run - Good to Yielding A typically competitive renewal and I narrowed it down to a short list of 7. I'm very wary of a couple of progressive types in Home by The Lee and Off You Go who both last ran 114 days ago in the Irish National. Both had good form before probably failing to ge...Read More
Goodwood 5.20 Handicap - Class 3 - 7 furlongs - Soft - 19 run A few here who I was interested in prior to the deluge could still be competitive if the ground continues to dry out. I wouldn't discount the likes of Magical Wish, Be prepared and Corvair but a few days of drier weather would have immeasurably boosted their chances. The p...Read More
A decent enough week last week. Sorry no tips from Sean yesterday, problems with wi-fi in the holiday cottage (we hadn't found the booster switch) now resolved and a perfectly strong signal for the week ahead. We'll head to WINDSOR tonight for a competitive Sprint Handicap; and The Advisor has his eyes on a couple who have yet to sho...Read More
A successful day for us at Goodwood today with the tip,Calling The Wind, advised at 10/1 winning at 9/1. We will focus on the big Handicap of the week at Goodwood tomorrowRead More
A nice 16/1 winner at Galway yesterday with Macgiloney who was advised at 10/1 but who drifted to 16/1 just getting up in the final strides to beat the favourite. One to following is the other selection too, Captain Kangaroo who came with an eye-catching run before losing momentum with an untidy jump and not getting away clean from the la...Read More
A nice win yesterday from Royal Rendezvous who did look over-priced in the early markets and won at 6/1. Hopefully you were on at a bit more. A bit frustrating to see Magical Wish win at Goodwood at a nice price, we thought it would prefer significantly better ground. Nothing really stands out at Goodwood and we may have 2 good options th...Read More
A disappointing day yesterday with a glut of non runners in the opener at Glorious Goodwood meaning even the 4th place finish for Johnny Drama would not have paid out with many Bookies with only 11 actually starting. At Galway a 6th for Saltonstall at 16/1 was the best we could manage. Galway switches to NH action today which may be a rel...Read More
