One of those days yesterday when we were frustratingly nowhere near the winners of the two big races but were "feeding off the scraps" of enhanced place opportunities to hopefully mitigate any losses on stakes and that "if you can't win don't lose" philosophy we've been banging on about for over a decade. Dans Le Vent at an SP of 14/1 and Up for Parol at an SP of 17/2 finished 5th and 6th in The Lanzarote where we said we'd settle to 6th and Jerryback finished a remote 5th at Warwick a... A poor day for the tips yesterday, I got it horribly wrong at Huntingdon and no joy either for our Northern expert up at Sedgefield. The Trackers though found Thanksforthehelp who was a runner up at 14/1 at Huntingdon and hats off to Sean for both finding and persevering with SHAZZA a 66/1 3rd at Dundalk in the final race on the Card. If you take the big Chase at Warwick and the Lanzarote at Kempton out of the equation today it's a very poor Saturday, but both of the big races offer so... There is NH action today at Huntingdon and Sedgefield and a delve into some of the races shows some very competitive fields and hopefully some market value. There are a couple of AW Fixtures and a look at one we've dabbled with before from Dundalk in the Tracker horses at the end of the message. A winner and a placed horse in the Trackers yesterday and a few more today with Tips and Analysis of a Handicap Hurdle at Huntingdon from Ian (Placespotter) and a Handicap Hurdle too from ... Thursday 13th January - No Tips todayPublished: 13/01/2022

Good morning; NO TIPS today --------We were possibly a shade unlucky not to have another winner yesterday with Steel Wave (advised 18/1 returned 10/1 SP) just being caught near the line after getting a bit lonely up front. Had the last flight have been jumped (it got damaged earlier in the day) it's possible that may have benefited our runner, but a bold and good run nonetheless. If you took the 5th place offer with Sky (we know not many do!) you may also have picked up a bit of shrapnel on... [Read More]

A nice win and an excellent Nick Schofield ride to get WIN MY WINGS home at 28/1 at a very muddy Exeter yesterday, it was only a shame that we got the staking the wrong way around as Poker Play was on the back foot from the minute it nearly unshipped Tom Scudamore at the first and then made other jumping errors. I think it's a horse worse persevering with though in better Going and may be somewhere with slightly easier fences, Newton Abbot or Taunton maybe? At Doncaster Getareason ran ... [Read More]

An inexplicably poor run from Black Centaur yesterday, it started slowly and never looked happy, did flatter to deceive in making up ground but then faded. The yard is in cracking form and everything pointed to a good chance but clearly something amiss on the day. There are Meetings at Doncaster and Exeter today plus AW at Southwell. Very good numbers on Good to Soft and Doncaster and some decent races too on Heavy at Exeter. We'll focus on a race each at Doncaster and Exeter and there... [Read More]

A decent enough run from Young Dev at Fairyhouse yesterday to finish 3rd at 12/1. There is nH today at Ludlow and Taunton and an NH Card at Wolverhampton. There are smallish fields at Ludlow where one Tracker horse, the very unlucky JET PLANE who we had tipped at Warwick last time and who fell when 5-6 lengths clear at the last returns, it won't be anything like 6-7/1 today, likely 2/1 or lower but hopefully it will gain recompense. There are some decent Maiden and Novice races at Taun... A nice 25/1 winner for our Northern Expert with Knocknamona and a battling 22/1 place for Robin with his tip (Sir Ivan) ensured a profitable day. It did though again raise comments and some complaints about advised staking. I'm not sure that we'll ever resolve this to everyone's satisfaction, indeed I think it's one of those issues where it is impossible to please everyone at any given point. Suggested staking is what it is, we have Members who stick to it rigidly and others who tell us the... [Read More]

It's always a quiet Saturday on this corresponding weekend, it follows the big week between Christmas and New Year and precedes some big final pre-Cheltenham Festival Meetings later in January. As usual the number of Runners at Sandown is abysmal apart from The Veterans Series Final which we'll cover . There is a decent Fixture at Wincanton and we'll have a featured race from there. There isn't too much to consider over at Cork (which has passed an Inspection). Newcastle is ON too after an ... A win yesterday for Mrs Watson at 14/1, a shame it was only a shrapnel bet (would have been higher staked if we'd have been sure it would run having had a tough race just a few days before) but that sums up the trend of the past few weeks when tips have been poor but the analysis has thrown up a number of big priced winners and the problem more interpretation of analysis than any fundamental flaws in the reading of the form. That's occurred before in the past 11 years and can often be the precur... [Read More]

Both Echo Watt and Petite Power ran well enough in defeat at Ffos Llas yesterday running 4th and 5th after being prominent most of the way. Can't fault the runs of either and both are worth keeping an eye on in similar races and conditions as their marks may fall a few more pounds. Robin's logic paid off handsomely with PAGEANT MATERIAL winning nicely at 12/1 and one aspect that heavy ground offers is the fact that you can look closely for that kind of unexposed P2P or heavy Going form that... Despite having some significant back-form none of the main selections ran with any real credit yesterday, Subcontinent looks a very sour horse at the moment, Global Harmony showed up well for a while and may yet come back to form, Jurys Out ran poorly despite some money for it, Ballybreen ran a bit better than recently but still a shadow of former form and Findusatgorcombe ran prominently, had a good old blow in doing so and perhaps the one you'd definitely keep an eye on over further at Ex... A decent run to a point yesterday for Byzantium Lad, it was weakening when bullied out of it on the fence into the home turn but showed enough to think it can pick up a nice little race dropped a little in trip maybe. The one we'd take out of the race is FOUND ON for the in-form Keighley yard, possibly also dropped to about 2 miles 6 furlongs. The 33/1 winner SLIPWAY caused a bit of debate to put it mildly, joy for a number who have a small each way bet on analysis based comments but frustr... Disappointment in The Sussex National with Eclair De Guye and Salty Boy (who finished lame) both being caught out by going too fast too early in a race where it paid to sit just off the pace. Sadly Seaston Spirit seems a shadow of the very promising horse he seemed to be at this stage of 2021. If there are any horses to take out of the race and track we think that a couple of the David Pipe French imports (Via Dolorosa and El Paso Wood) who both ran well to about the 3 mile mark should be tracke... A frustrating day at Cheltenham yesterday, SIMPLY THE BETTS ran a cracker and was perhaps unfortunate to meet an improving and in form Mare when beating everything else home to be runner up and if you grabbed a bit of the enhanced 6th place on offer you'll have had a small return on Galahad Quest. Galahad Quest is definitely one to track onwards and I'm 100% convinced that Deyrann De Carjac is capable of running a very big race sometime soon, possibly back at Cheltenham in March. Botox Has ... New Years Day - Saturday 1st January 2022Published: 01/01/2022

A Happy New Year to you all. We have Tip / Analysed races today at Cheltenham from Robin and The Advisor and from our Northern Expert at Catterick. We also have a number of Trackers at the bottom of the e-mail and this Feature caused quite a stir yesterday, not for the first time in a positive sense, which I'll come on to. Mixed fortunes at Uttoxter yesterday, in finishing 4th (an enhanced place) Light Flicker performed well below expectations and doubled the frustration... A poor day at the office yesterday, we'll never know how close She's Some Doll would have gone in the opener at Leopardstown, falling when leading but too far out to make a substantive call. Milvale managed a place at Kelso and Nestor Park ran very well at Newbury to finish 3rd also, beaten only by two clearly progressive younger horses. The TRackers missed the net too although thanks again to Norman for pointing out one we missed (although it was in a race where there could have been ... A less successful day yesterday although it did start with a winner with Priory Park just getting up on the line to our advantage this time (how we'd swap a similar finish to the one that robbed us of a 33/1 winner with Ben Dundee on Monday); advised at 13/2 and winning at 9/2 and for those that followed the staking advice a bit of enhanced placed each way shrapnel with Gealach finishing 6th advised at 20/1 and an SP of 14/1. We must start with BEN DUNDEE today, runner up at 33/1 and quite where Sean found him. I'm not sure as a very unheralded horse and he did everything but win The Paddy Power Chase at Leopardstown yesterday. Hard to find any fault with the ride by the 7lbs Claimer he was just done very close home by a horse who got a nice lead in the final stages.  No complaints either about the gallant runs by Highland Hunter a runner up at 11/1, Truckers Lodge an excellent 3rd at 28/1 or Secret Repriev... A decent enough return on a tricky day of Cards yesterday. Places for Cast To Ash at 17/2 (2nd), the possibly very unlucky Ede'iffs Elton (2nd) at 7/1 who just idled in front having come to win the race very well, Vintage Glen at 8/1 (3rd) and a win for Callin Dearg at 2/1 with Cash Again placed 3rd at 15/2 at Sedgefield. We hope that you have all had an enjoyable Christmas so far and with the usual Boxing Day Cards today, a couple of added Bank Holidays tomorrow and Tuesday and then good Cards all week, we are in for a very busy 9 days of Racing up to and including the Bank Holiday Monday 3rd January Cards. Today is frankly I think more for the connoisseurs, especially at Kempton who stage a cracking Card but not necessarily a great punting Card. Whilst a few of you may have picked up a bit of each way loose change to an enhanced 5th place on Avithos yesterday we did record as indicated as a loser as the majority of Bookies went odds to 4th. I think the weakness of the on-course market probably impacted on the big drift on Avithos and I know I and also The Advisor were beyond frustrated that there was no money down on Waikiki Waves given the sadly prophetic analysis. The Gary / Jamie Moore combo run a few with similar inco... A disappointing day yesterday when potential beat proven form hands down in the 2 big races. It may be worth excusing both Vintage Clouds and Sams Adventure slightly on the basis both were pulled up and were found to have lost front shoes (Vintage Clouds both) in the sticky ground but that should not take away from the excellent runs of the victor and place horses. Notachance ran a much better race as suggested and may have grabbed a bit of shrapnel with anyone using Sky (won't be counted o... [Read More]

It was certainly a topsy turvy day at Uttoxeter yesterday with 2 tips, who were both very well supported on Course close to off time, Dr Oakley and Dorrana both running inexplicably badly and Pulling Up very early in their races. It is hard to excuse such runs other than in big fields like yesterday if you just miss the break you can be 50 yards behind the leader after just 200 yards of the race and horses can "sulk" and quickly lose interest, they are pack animals after all. There is a tendency... [Read More]

A better day for us yesterday with a couple of well backed horses whose prices held up long enough for most of you hopefully to "get on" at nice Odds delivered some profit. It's quite unusually actually for our tips to be backed heavily elsewhere, we've always tried to keep off the radar and usually any big plunges have been when one of the paper / social media big hitters has picked something a few hours after us, and in the case of Exeter yesterday, our experts are based in that neck of t... There's no hiding place when a horse makes a Tipster look like a mug by finishing stone last and pace awareness is often a major contributory factor. They can either go off too fast and throw away all chances like we saw yesterday with Kalanoura who ran too fresh and prominently (not for the first time) and may need dropping in trip, and we also saw a regular pace related gripe the day before when running prominently was the key to winning races and our selections tried to buck the trend. A very disappointing day yesterday with disappointing runs across the board at Catterick where the winner of the selected race had no discernable form yet was backed off the boards and won very impressively, a good old fashioned coup, and at Wincanton, where early pace and a prominent position was key to success. With disappointing NH Cards at Newbury and Leicester, and with hardly enthralling AW options at Kempton and Lingfield, we have one at Dundalk on the AW that Sean is quietly very ke...
