Monday 4th January

I think we have to start with consideration for the family and friends of Zoe Davison, a Yard that delivered a number of big value winners at the Sussex Tracks for us over the past decade and how fitting her Team delivered two more yesterday an hour or so before she sadly passed away with terminal illness. What a way to go out and so fitting.

A nice double yesterday with Olivers Island winning at Catterick with the tracker Fame and Hope the only serious rival at the line (Border Victor a non runner), a nice win too for Seaston Spirit, price drifted and then came in again, so hopefully you were all on at least at the advised 7/1 and may be a bit higher. The other pair of Trackers didn't figure on Going maybe better than anticipated but we picked the right one at the top end at nice Odds so can't quibble. It completed a clean sweep of winners from the 4 weekend tip races.

The only NH meeting today is round the twists and turns of Fakenham, there is AW at Lingfield and Wolverhampton. Our AW man did look for something at Lingfield for a considerable time but can't find anything with confidence and suggests he will "swerve" Wolverhampton for the next few Fixtures whilst it remains so cold as it requires deep harrowing that can make the surface a lot deeper than usual and render form analysis difficult. He'll keep a close eye on Kempton (and Lingfield) Fixtures in the next few days. The only one he seriously looked at was RIVER SPRITE in the 2.10 if you wanted a very small punt on that each way but NOT a tip as not confident enough in it.
