Liberated lad finished an enhanced 4th at Newbury yesterday at 13/2 having been advised at 8/1 with the other main selection Tralee Hills a non runner due to the Going being firmer than anticipated. Love Is Golden ran an excellent race to finish 3rd at York at 8/1, having been advised at 11/1, the other main selection was Parachute who finished a slightly disappointing 5th.

 

Our Northern expert wasn't able to repeat his excellent 1-2 from the day before up at Hamilton with Flying Moon a well backed but ultimately disappointing 7th on the soft ground up in Scotland.

 

If you're looking for a big field or even remotely competitive Handicaps today it really is a desert of opportunity. The TV races are mainly competitive but moderate field Stakes races and very sparse in terms of big fields and Betting opportunities. There are a couple of meetings in Ireland with the usual bigger fields but nothing really stands out there today that Sean has any confidence in.

 

There are 8 Meetings however so we've dug deep and found a Handicap at Thirsk and a Handicap Chase at Uttoxeter that our Northern expert and Robin respectively think may offer some value punting and both have speculative selections at nice prices that they have enough quiet confidence in to have a small investment.
