Saturday 16th January

A reasonable enough run from the 2 AW selections at Newcastle yesterday finishing 3rd and 4th both in the place money both at 7/1 having been advised at 17/2 and 8/1 for a small each way return. It's absolutely not my cup of tea AW, but our new AW Tipster has hit the ground running and on occasions if it's the only option, or looks the best option, a fresh string to our bow.

With some decent NH today at Warwick, Market Rasen and Fairyhouse and no stand-out options on the AW at Lingfield or Kempton we will stick to NH today.

David focuses on the big Handicap Chase at Warwick, whilst I'll focus on the competitive Handicap Hurdle and Sean is in action over at Fairyhouse in an equally interesting Handicap Hurdle. A belt of snow and sleet followed by rain is expected across the UK, it's pouring in Devon as I write, so we'll assume Going is no softer than advertised and most probably heavier. Over at Fairyhouse its soft to heavy but a drying day, so most likely the cloggy gluey type sticky heavy.....but without the toffee topping...
