Saturday 24th August

Treasure Time was a last race rescue winner for us yesterday and kept up the excellent recent form for The Advisor. In the other races Euchan Glen put up his usual sterling effort to finish 5th just out of the places for our northern expert, Believing who finished like the proverbial steam train for RJ went closest of his 3 selections as he tries to find that elusive first winner and the slightly unexpected good to firm Going (track dried very quickly in very blustery winds) meant that our 2 year old selection (Arabian Angel) was a non runner.

It's the final day at York today and we will cover the 3 big Handicaps with an added Irish input, Carolyn will try to find some value in the big Auction 2 year old race at Newmarket and RJ will go to Goodwood, which is already Good to Soft and some rain to come and hopes he can find a soft ground type to win a couple of races there. With rain also at Newmarket and a chance of a shower at York, the Good to Firm rattling ground may be about to vanish, for a few days at least.
